About Elite Performance Climbing

  • EPC is a climbing-focused performance and mobility training company rooted in science and driven by results. We use Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) and personalized programming to help climbers move better, stay pain-free, and perform at their best—indoors or outdoors.

  • We don’t just hand you workouts, we assess root causes of weakness and dysfunction, then build a personalized plan to strengthen the brain-muscle connection. Think less guessing, more climbing gains.

  • From competitors to weekend warriors, total beginners, and active agers, EPC supports climbers of all backgrounds who want to climb stronger and smarter without burning out or breaking down.

Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT)

  • Muscle Activation Techniques (MAT) is a hands-on approach to pinpoint and fix muscle imbalances by restoring communication between your brain and body. It boosts mobility, reduces injury risk, and enhances performance.

  • Nope. While PT often focuses on rehab post-injury, MAT is about activation and stability. It’s performance-based and proactive: think injury prevention and optimized movement, not just recovery.

  • Yes! Tightness often shows up when weak muscles stop pulling their weight. MAT fixes that by activating the right muscles so your body moves freely and comfortably.

  • Absolutely. MAT is low-force, highly specific, and adapted to every climber's body and goals—from advanced crushers to active agers just wanting to stay mobile and stoked.

Climbing-Specific Performance & Training

  • Our training blends MAT, mobility work, and performance-focused programming tailored to your current level. Whether you’re breaking plateaus or learning basics, we’ve got a program that fits your vibe.

  • You’ll get a full-body look at how your joints and muscles are moving (or not moving). It helps us target root causes of tightness, weakness, or performance issues, so you’re not just guessing what to work on.

  • Not at all! EPC’s approach meets you where you're at. From Newbie Nia to Competitive Chris, we scale programs to support growth without overwhelm.

Pain, Recovery & Injury Prevention

  • We’re not doctors, but our root-cause approach has helped climbers with shoulder tweaks, finger pain, hip tightness, and more. We improve function and stability so your body feels better and climbs stronger.

  • Yep! Once you’ve got medical clearance, we can help you rebuild strength, restore motion, and feel confident again on the wall or trail.

  • Perfect time to start. Tightness and plateaus often come from underperforming muscles. Our methods reawaken those muscles, helping you move better and train harder without burning out.

What to Expect with EPC

  • Your journey kicks off with a full mobility and movement assessment. Then we map out a customized path (in-person or app-based) to build strength, fix weaknesses, and hit your goals.

  • In-person MAT sessions are typically 60 minutes. App-based programs are designed to fit your week with short, effective training blocks, ideal for busy climbers.

  • It depends on your goals and starting point. Some feel the difference in just a few sessions, while others build over a few months.

We’re here for sustainable growth, not quick fixes.

Booking, Access & Support

  • Our app programs are accessible anywhere, so you can train with EPC from your home gym or the crag.

In-person sessions are located inside evo Sports Performance.

  • No referral needed, and we’re not tied to any specific gym. EPC is built to meet you where you are.

  • Our services are self-pay and not billed through insurance—but they’re designed for real results, not red tape.

Some clients are able to use HSA or FSA funds to pay for sessions, while others are not. Eligibility depends on your specific plan and provider, so we recommend checking with your HSA/FSA administrator to confirm what’s covered.

If you have questions about payment options, we’re happy to help clarify before you book.

  • Easy: book a free consult or sign up for a mobility assessment through our website.

If you’re unsure where to start, we’ll help you find your perfect path.
